EFH Establishes a Senior Secondary School (SSS1)
EFH established a Senior Secondary School for the 2023/2024 academic school year, with fifteen students, four girls, and eleven boys, pursuing their studies in Social Studies and Cultural Arts and Science and Technology. Additional teachers were brought in to staff this new program, which is held at the Hope Academy Primary and Junior Secondary schools in the afternoon after primary and junior secondary school classes conclude.
Give the Gift of Education
Before EFH arrived, the children in the village could not read or write because there was no school for them to attend to learn these skills. Today many children in these communities have earned their Basic Educational Certificate Exam (BECE) and can read and write at a middle school level.
BECE Results are Out – 100% Passing Rate
EFH achieved another milestone. The sixteen students who attempted the Basic Educational Certificate Exam (BECE) passed, earning a one hundred percent passing rate.
Students Giving Back
Alumni of Hope Academy Junior Secondary School return to the school to volunteer their services assisting in teaching/tutoring current students while they await their Basic Education Certificate Examination results.

Help us reach our goals this year!
Thank you for your support and donations over the years! We would like to provide you with updates of our progress in 2021 and ask for your continued support as we expand our services to bring educational resources to underserved children in remote regions of Sierra Leone.
Giving Tuesday!
With your investment, we built a six-classroom structure, a library, an office, water well, and toilet facility. Today, approximately 170 students are enrolled in Hope Academy Primary and Secondary School. We still need your support to provide educational resources, monthly stipend for teachers, and maintenance of the school. Education for Hope is a volunteer run organization, and all your donations go directly to our programs.
Your support and donations are paying off
Over the past few months, our teachers have prepared our students who have been hard at work studying for the National Primary School Examination (NPSE) and Basic Educational Certificate Examination (BECE). The results are out, and we are pleased to announce that six out of the seven students that attempted NPSE passed and seven students out of the nine students that attempted the BECE passed.

New school opened!
Education for Hope (EFH) embarked on an ambitious journey in 2013 to build a new school from the ground up, which will serve three communities where there are no schools. Because of the lack of schools, the children do not go to school, and those who are strong enough walk miles away to attend the closest school. The new school is equipped with six classrooms, an office, and a library.
