EFH Board orientation and annual retreat
Education for Hope (EFH) held its Board orientation and annual retreat on November 4th and 5th, 2018. The organization welcomed new Board members and elected new officers for the 2019-2021 term. The Board remains committed to build on our core competencies and core values. The organization will continue to use technology to effectively manage its operation, making sure that donor investments are spent wisely and on programs that deliver impact.
The organization will continue to focus its efforts in implementing programs in rural communities of Sierra Leone. EFH will explore partnership opportunities to bring other services that are lacking in the communities served. The organization will support the Ro-Tumba Primary School and the Three Communities Primary and Secondary School by providing educational resources, by building additional infrastructure or repairing existing structures, and by supporting teachers and students. For a long-term sustainable strategy, we will work with the Sierra Leone Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology to assume the schools into the government-assisted school programs.
Many thanks to Kirkland and Ellis, LPP, for hosting us at their Washington, D.C. location.
