Your support and donations are paying off
Nine years ago, together, we embarked on a journey to build schools and create a lasting culture of learning in the remote villages of Tumba, Rogbamtama, and the surrounding communities. Currently, the Hope Academy Primary and Secondary School has about 170 students enrolled in class one through Junior Secondary School.
Your support and donations are paying off. Over the past few months, our teachers have prepared our students who have been hard at work studying for the National Primary School Examination (NPSE) and Basic Educational Certificate Examination (BECE). The results are out, and we are pleased to announce that six out of the seven students that attempted NPSE passed and seven students out of the nine students that attempted the BECE passed.
Despite the lack of electricity, running water, conducive living condition, adequate food, and medical care, the children of these communities are doing an outstanding job - all they needed was the opportunity. Although, these communities continue to face hardships, but the children are resilient and have developed a culture of learning and perseverance. They yearn to further their education and are determined to become productive citizens surpassing the achievement of their parents. Majority of these children are the first in their family to attend school knowing how to read and write.
We look forward to your continuing support of our programs. You can make a monetary donation on our website, donate school supplies, or volunteer your time.
