Abbey Walsh

Abbey Walsh is a senior at American University where she is specializing in International Development with a minor in International Business. As the daughter of a middle school special education teacher, Abbey has always understood and valued the importance of education. Her knowledge of the classroom has been enhanced by her experience teaching in underprivileged schools in the Washington, DC area. Abbey studied abroad in South Africa in 2011, where she gained experience working with refugees, LGBT rights, and advocacy. Abbey’s passions include travelling around the world, advocating for human rights, feeding her fish, writing for her blog, and trying to find a way back to Africa. Abbey is incredibly excited to be a part of the Education for Hope team!
